Increase your gas mileage, the life of your tires, and even performance!
Correct air pressure not only saves you money at the pump, but it increases handling and the life of the tire. Under inflated tires are less effective in both handling and gas mileage. If your tire pressure is low, it can cause your car to under perform in emergency situations. Braking distance and cornering are reduced.
It is estimated that 85% of drivers don't check their tire pressures or know where to find the correct air pressure for their vehicle. Gas mileage lowers by 0.3% for every 1 PSI (pound per square inch) below factory suggested pressure for all 4 tires according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
Fill your tires to the recommended PSI (pressure per sqaure inch) for your vehicle, not by what the tire itself may say. Your tire pressure can be found in one of a few places, depending on your vehicle: on the inside of your gas door, the inside of the driver's side door, the glove box, or in your owner's manual.
We recommend checking your tire pressure every other time you fill up your gas tank.
